Telehealth and Covid-19

Starting 3/17, Dr. Thingvoll will be seeing established patients via Telehealth. She will be using the Zoom platform. The Zoom platform is safe and secure and HIPAA compliant.

An invitation to the visit will be sent via email. Our office will call prior to the appointment to make sure we have the correct email address to send the invite.

The preferred method for virtual appointments is via smart phone or tablet. Please download the free “ZOOM Cloud Meetings” app from your App Store.

Once you have downloaded the app, click the link in your email and open the visit in the app. Please be sure to allow Zoom to use your microphone and camera. If you are using a PC, you will be prompted to download the Zoom software which is free and downloads very quickly.

10-15 minutes prior to your appointment, our office will call and collect copays and/or payments over the phone. You will be required to have a debit or credit card for this payment.

Please enter the visit 5 minutes prior to your scheduled time. You will be held in a queue until Dr. Thingvoll enters the appointment.

NEW PATIENTS: New patients will continue to be seen in the office for the time being. Our office is low volume and there should not be anyone in the waiting room when you arrive. If you wish to reschedule new patient appointment until after the social distancing is lifted, please let our office know.

 

Please note our prescription refill policy. All prescriptions, including electronic prescriptions, require 72 hour turnaround time. Please do not call our office from the pharmacy expecting the prescription to be sent immediately.

When applicable, prescription refills will be submitted to pharmacies electronically. However, due to the nature of some of the medicines prescribed, a paper prescription is often required according to state and federal laws. Please plan in advance and allow 72 business hours for these prescriptions to be ready. Paper prescriptions can be picked up at our office or sent via mail.
