As of 6/1/2024, Dr. Thingvoll will be increasing her fees for office visits.

FOLLOW-UP VISITS

For follow-up visits, a tiered approach will be used:

Visits up to 39 minutes – $215

Visits 40 minutes or longer – $275

NEW PATIENT VISITS

New patient visits will be $800

Insurance Information

As of 6/1/2024, Dr. Thingvoll will be a participating provider (“in network”) with the following insurance plans:

NC Medicaid Managed Care – NC Medicaid/Vaya, Amerihealth, Healthy Blue, WellCare

It is important that you understand your insurance benefits. Your insurance is a contract between you and your insurance provider, and there is no guarantee of benefits. Your insurance company will only pay for services covered under your contract. We urge you to contact your insurance company before your appointment to ask about pre-authorization requirements and coverage for subspecialty developmental pediatric care, including developmental testing (CPT code 96111) in order to reduce the chance of claim denial. In the event that some or all of your services are not covered by your insurance plan, you will be responsible for 100% of these charges at the time of your visit.

Please note our prescription refill policy. All prescriptions, including electronic prescriptions, require 72 hour turnaround time. Please do not call our office from the pharmacy expecting the prescription to be sent immediately.

When applicable, prescription refills will be submitted to pharmacies electronically. However, due to the nature of some of the medicines prescribed, a paper prescription is often required according to state and federal laws. Please plan in advance and allow 72 business hours for these prescriptions to be ready. Paper prescriptions can be picked up at our office or sent via mail.
