Dr. Mona Venzon Rice is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in child and adolescent psychiatry. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, mania, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum and other psychiatric conditions.
She completed her psychiatry residency in 2004 and her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship in 2006 at the Brody School of Medicine in East Carolina University. She has been in outpatient private practice since then. Dr. Rice also served as consulting psychiatrist in an adolescent residential treatment program and a young adult transitional living program in the Asheville, NC area.
Dr. Rice provides medication treatment, psychoeducation and referrals, using a collaborative decision-making approach.
